Bio
I was born and raised on the shores of
Lake Superior in Marquette Michigan. I earned a BA in Art from St
Johns University (MN) and spent ten years working at two daily newspapers:
The Mining Journal (Marquette)
and the Ketchikan
(AK) Daily News. I have since been full time free-lance for for over
twenty years.
I have been published in hundreds of publications including: Alaska , Outside,
Midwest Living, Lake Superior
Magazine, New York Times, Washington Post, Michigan History and The National
Enquirer.
I have thousands of photos
on file, mainly of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but have many other subjects.
I do all types of photography including: commercial, industrial, product, underwater,
brochure work, scenic, aerial, digital restoration, wildlife,logo design, and
I also do portraits and weddings. I also maintain a black & white darkroom
in which I do custom printing and large format copy work. Samples of my work are
all through my website.
