Bio

I was born and raised on the shores of Lake Superior in Marquette Michigan. I earned a BA in Art from St Johns University (MN) and spent ten years working at two daily newspapers: The Mining Journal (Marquette) and the Ketchikan (AK) Daily News. I have since been full time free-lance for for over thirty years.

I have been published in hundreds of publications including: Alaska , Outside, Midwest Living, Lake Superior Magazine, New York Times, Washington Post, Michigan History and The National Enquirer.

I have thousands of photos on file, mainly of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but have many other subjects. I do all types of photography including: commercial, industrial, product, underwater, brochure work, scenic, aerial, digital restoration, wildlife,logo design, and I also do portraits and weddings. I am married and have twin sons and two grand children.

"Senior year photos. We were receiving flyers from all the area photographers and the prices were astronomical for photos my son didn't even really want to take. We were overwhelmed with offers. We had always loved Tom's outdoor photos so we decided to make the call and check out what he offered, but we had a few criteria of our own.
